I have done my fair sound design and interactive music in Fmod. This software has made my and my collaborators' life easier enough times.
Blueprint coding, sound actor placement, sound class structuring, and procedural audio design. I use the internal audio integration, especially since MetaSounds got published I feel they have won me over.
Working with this tool sometimes is challenging but I still like the results.
MY AUDIO POWER TOOLS
Sound design, music composition, recording, mixing, and mastering, They say "in order to master something you need to spend 10,000 hours". Well, I am a quad-master in this DAW and I am not afraid to say it.
I use it for post-production, audio recording, mixing, and mastering. Protools are definitely one of my favorite DAWs' to work with as they feel so intuitive to my hands.
Audio restoration and cleanup, mastering, EQ-ing, and compression, I use these plug-ins daily. Izotope is the one set of plug-ins that I always had in my DAWs.
What I have done in Max Msp is create all the crazy ideas that come to my mind. From complex algorithmic music to controversial sequencers and variable controllers.
VERSION CONTROL AND CLOUD SOFTWARE
I use GitHub to communicate development with other team members. While I like it it does present some rough corners.
Communicating audio development with members of my team or supervisors. From the moment that I start learning this tool, it got really close to my heart.
