Dynamic Early Reflection in Unreal
I developed a custom early reflection system in Unreal Engine, built entirely without middleware. By tracing sound reflections in real time and using debug tools to verify behavior, I ensured accurate spatial logic before introducing audio. I also implemented a pre-filter based on surface material for each reflection to increase accuracy. This system lays the groundwork for precise environmental acoustics, enhancing immersion with dynamic reflections tailored to the game world.

ABOUT ME
Panos Vlachakis
A sound designer and music composer born and raised in Chania of Crete in Greece. I studied Audio Production and Design for video games at Berklee College, USA, and Sound Engineering and Creative Arts at SAE, Greece. With years of experience in sound synthesis, audio mixing, and recording techniques, acquired through recording studios, TV, Radio, and Festivals, I provide sound effects and music for interactive media. My diverse and versatile knowledge in audio not only creates excellent and tailored sound for my partners and clients but also creates a safety net in audio from both technical and aesthetic aspects. With the time I spent in my studio, I explore new audio frontiers while looking forward to the next challenging projects.
